This historic building in Paris, France, required a comprehensive 3D laser scan of its interior to produce accurate as-built floor plans ahead of planned renovations.
A key challenge was the presence of valuable antique furniture dating back to the Napoleonic era. Due to its age and fragility, these historic pieces could not be moved during the renovation process.
Using 3D laser scanning technology, we captured the existing conditions and produced detailed floor plans showing the precise locations and dimensions of all immovable furniture and architectural elements.
This accurate documentation allowed the renovation work to be planned around these valuable historic pieces, helping preserve the building’s heritage while accommodating the proposed modifications.
